Clarisse Mazoyer MSc in Luxury Management & Marketing
  • Can you tell us a bit about yourself.

Born in Lyon, France, I have a private law licence degree from University Jean Moulin LYON III – specialized in tax and corporate law.
Students in the MSc in Luxury Management & Marketing program hail from a multitude of cultures and academic backgrounds, that’s one of the reasons why I decided to join this specific program last September. In addition to my law degree, the program was a relevant opportunity for a professional evolution in the luxury industry.
The singularity of my academic background was an asset not to neglect. It enabled me to handle two important characteristics of the luxury market: rigor and innovation.

  • Why did you choose this program?

As I wanted to join the best Master in the luxury business, the emlyon business school’s MSc in Luxury Management & Marketing was an obvious choice. With a global experience in 3 key cities of the luxury market, this program trains business early makers. emlyon business school also gives unique access to its worldwide alumni network.
My aim was to experience and discover this industry through the Master. I can say that I have now acquired skills that I will be able to use wisely during my professional life.

  • What are you doing now? How did the emlyon business school career services help you during your studies?

This program has been an additional step in the development of my knowledge of management and marketing in the luxury industry. For my final internship, I will be joining the Van Cleef & Arpels Maison as a marketing product development assistant in the High-Jewellery sector. To represent luxury, it is crucial that agents understand it. Studying history, sociology, management or brand strategy is not just attractive but extremely important in that industry.
I am thankful to my family for supporting me during the program, but also to my emlyon business school career coach: Alice Chauveau (consultante, coach et formatrice – Co-fondatrice d’Enquête de Sens). After our privileged one-to-one Skype conversations, my interview speech gained in consistency and relevance. She helped me realize that positivity and confidence were major keys of success in a conversation.

  • What advice would you give to the future students of this program?

Never settle. Trust yourself. Embrace the experience.
Get the most out of your learning trips and conferences with professionals. This academic program makes students leading actors of their studies and career in the industry.
