Kelly is currently completing her second semester in New-York. As this exciting semester is coming to an end, we asked her to tell us more about one class that particularly stood out for her.
She decided to tell us more about the "Sustainable Business Models" course taught by Roxanna Zarnegar. This course aims to develop students' technical and practical abilities, capabilities, and competencies to innovate in order to commercialize and capitalize on value-creative ideas and solutions in the areas of sustainable and service design.
She shares her experience with us:
“This course really focused on not only teaching students what luxury is and can be, but also on how students themselves can self-learn anything. In this course, projects and assignments were all related to luxury and allowed flexibility and freedom to focus on our own areas of interest in the luxury industry. In addition, our teacher also gave us the power to learn by ourselves which encouraged us to grow and adapt quickly to higher expectations. We were given assignments that we had never thought possible or easy to do but it gave us tremendous real-life experience. For example, for a specific project we had to look for luxury makers, meaning actually going out, searching, and taking initiative with existing businesses, learning how to story tell and network.”
