The MSc in Cybersecurity & Defense Management program is one of the latest, newly-offered degrees from emlyon business school in response to the increase in demand for experts in this field, and is proud to announce its recently confirmed CGE accreditation.

The degree is designed around an 18-month program schedule, with students studying in both Lyon and Shanghai, as well as participating in an International Seminar, in-company consulting project, and 4-6 month internship, all aimed at ensuring graduates master the critical skills needed to face and manage complex global cybersecurity threats.

“This Master’s degree addresses the weaknesses threatening our digital world,” says Program Director Nicolas Sabben. Composed of industry experts from around the globe, and partners from businesses and administrations in private, public, and government sectors, this degree provides a multi-sector approach through teaching not only security, but topics like cyber intelligence and geopolitics.

The “Master of science” label, or MSc, was created in 2002 and is awarded to programs that produce trainings to deliver a diploma equivalent to a Bac +5. This specialized degree is mainly sought by candidates wishing to pursue an international career, and must meet specific criteria aimed at providing high-level specialized professional education including certain elements:

  • Delivered at a minimum of 50% in a foreign language
  • Containing a minimum of 450 hours of teaching and work assignments
  • Providing an in-company work experience of at least 4 months

With the MSc in Cybersecurity & Defense Management welcoming its first cohort this fall, the emlyon business school faculty are eager to meet the new students, and proud to officially pronounce the degree as CGE verified.
